ISLAMIC STUDIES DEPARTMENT
Dar Al Qur’an English Section offers courses in Islamic sciences focusing on the five main subjects: Aqeedah, Seerah, Tafsir, Fiqh and Hadith in accordance with Qur’an and Sunnah.

We offer 2 types of courses, namely general (no specific registration required, open to all students of the academy that comprehend English) and intensive (following a particular curriculum and requires registration).

We have a fatwa group for sisters to ask fatawa questions. Group opens once a week on Fridays 12AM to 11:59PM KSA (Makkah Time). We also have a Daily Reminders group where islamic reminders are shared with students from authentic sources.

All departmental recordings from ad hoc/special or general courses are uploaded in Islamic studies telegram channel clearly labelled with course/topic name and date of lecture.

General Islamic Courses
The general Islamic studies courses in one of the core subjects or a specific topic. It for those wishing to learn without the commitment to follow a curriculum or partake in examinations.

ISLAMIC STUDIES INTENSIVE COURSE
The comprehensive course follows a specific curriculum over four levels in the five core subjects taught by qualified teachers under the leadership of an extremely experienced, talented, and qualified teacher.

Semesters: 2 semesters per year

SUBJECTS
Aqeedah
You will learn about the core principles of creed, how it shapes our actions, decisions and moral conduct.

Seerah
You will taught the biography of the prophet from birth to his demise, as well as his character in all aspects of live.

Hadith
This Islamic science will equip you with prophetic wisdom, embodying the fundamentals of Islamic law, ethics, and practices. You will comprehend the explanation, significance, key lessons and benefits of the selected 40 hadith of Imam An Nawawi.

Fiqh
The Islamic jurisprudence will provide you with the key principles of Fiqh from acts of worship to transactions & family matters.

Tafsir
You will learn about the Tafsir of Al Fatiha and Juzu Amma based on most authentic Tafsir books.

ASSESSMENTS
Mid-Term and end of semester exams in MCQ format

A certificate is awarded once all 4 levels are completed and passed
